SAFETY AND SECURITY

The Campus Security and Safety Department is in operation 7 days a week. Its primary responsibility is to provide for the security and safety of students, staff, and public on the campus as well as provide for the security of campus property.

SERVICES
Besides providing general safety and security, officer may perform the following services:

1. Render first aid when the Health Center is closed. (Call 6333 for Emergencies)
2. Provide lost and found property services
3. Open locked vehicles (upon proper identification by owner)
4. Assist in the recovery of stolen property and help the parties involved contact the police department when necessary.
5. Provide directions and information regarding campus facilities and events.
6. Assist with traffic accidents on campus.
7. Provide escort services for students and staff returning to their vehicles after dark.
8. Direct a contingency of student security assistants who patrol parking lots and provide escort services.
9. Perform periodic safety inspections of all campus buildings and grounds.
