ORIENTATION
The International
Student Orientation is a comprehensive advising,
registration and orientation program that is intended
to ensure the smooth transition of first time freshmen
and transfer students Santa Ana and Santiago Canyon
Colleges. Participation affords you an opportunity for
EARLIER REGISTRATION. However, you must be formally
ADMITTED to college in order to attend.
The program begins with check-in at 8:00 a.m. and concludes
at approximately 5:00 p.m. each day. Participation is
limited to students only. Attendance at one of the Orientation
Sessions is mandatory.
Academic counselors conduct group-advising sessions
that will focus on general education, major requirements,
testing, the selection of appropriate classes and registration.
Students also have the opportunity to meet individually
with a counselor for major advising. They will also
be introduced to support services and resources that
are available on campus, meet other students, staff
& faculty, and gain a general orientation to campus
life.
There are two International
Student Orientation sessions offered for Fall
2007:

Student Orientation I - August 6-9
• International
Student Orientation II - August 13-16
REGISTERING FOR INTERNATIONAL
STUDENT ORIENTATIONS
Admitted students will receive an Orientation reservation
form in the mail, along with their acceptance packet.
The Orientation will include counseling, testing, workshops,
and registration. Students are provided with a college
catalog, schedule of classes, academic handbook, parking,
lunch, and sponsored activities. At the end of your
Orientation, you will also receive a printout of your
class schedule and a photo identification card.
Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
However, priority will be given to students enrolling
in the earliest Orientations. Contact information:
