ACADEMIC COUNSELING

Full-time counselors are available to assist international students in selecting a program of study to complete their educational and career objectives. Students are helped to explore life goals, clarify educational and career plans, and advise on proper course selection. Counselors are also available to assist students with problems that may affect their academic success.

First semester students are required to enroll in Counseling 116, Education and Career Planning. This course facilitates cultural adaptation, personal assessment, educational and career planning, and an understanding of the American system of higher education. This course meets requirements for a two-year college associate degree and for graduation from the California State University system.
