Tina Chiu - Taiwan

Hi! My name is Tina Chiu and I come from Taiwan. I have been in the United States for five years. I first attended a private high school in California for three years. I learned about Santa Ana College from a friend who was studying in the English Language Academy at the college. After graduating from high school, I joined my friend and transferred to Santa Ana College where I am majoring in Computer Graphics.

While I do miss my family, I have made many new friends at college. In fact, I have been surprised at how many new friends I have made and from so many different countries. I am very active in the International Student Association, and this has given me the opportunity to learn about many cultures, traditions and languages and to participate in many activities. By talking with my American friends, I am able to improve my English conversational skills, which also helps me with my studies.

I want to encourage International Students to participate in the International Student Association. You can meet new friends, exchange cultures experiences, practice English, develop leadership skills, and earn scholarship opportunities and much more!
