ACADEMIC COUNSELING
Full-time counselors are available to assist international students
in selecting a program of study to complete their educational and career
objectives. Students are helped to explore life goals, clarify educational
and career plans, and advise on proper course selection. Counselors are
also available to assist students with problems that may affect their
academic success.
First semester students are recommend to enroll in Counseling 116, Education
and Career Planning. This course facilitates cultural adaptation, personal
assessment, educational and career planning, and an understanding of the
American system of higher education. This course meets requirements for
a two-year college associate degree and for graduation from the California
State University system.
