| The Heartbreak Café began in the spring of 1997 as the concept of Robert Conrad to bring to students a class that closely reflected a true Hollywood TV production. Every aspect of TV production was incorporated into the show from acting, camerawork, sound, lighting, writing, directing, as well as pre and post-production. The idea was to prepare the student for work as soon as they stepped out the door. Each show is approximately 20 to 30 minutes long and we produce three to four shows a semester. Starting with one cable station, the show has grown to 10 cable markets in Southern California and now international exposure via the internet. |
