The SAC Theatre department embarked on a new and exciting outreach program 5 seasons ago. Because the faculty and staff believe that children should experience the ARTS at an early age, one of our mission goals has become to provide a convenient and low cost live theatre experience for elementary school children in our surrounding communities. The interest and demand has proven to be very significant! Our desire is to not only continue this program, but to find ways to improve and increase our ARTS outreach to the young children of our communities. The 2000 and 2001 Children's Theatre Program featured two of E.B. White's delightful and touching stories, Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little. Over 4000 elementary school children from Santa Ana, Orange, Garden Grove, and Westminster school districts attended one of the 11 morning performances.
