Public Speaking, Interpersonal,
and Small Group Communication Larry Brown has been a faculty member
of the Rancho Santiago Community College District since 1986. He taught at both
of the Santa Ana College and Santiago Canyon College campuses as a part-time instructor
until 1996 when he was hired as a full-time faculty member. Professor Brown has
previously taught in the following Speech Communication Departments: CSU Fullerton,
CSU Long Beach, Orange Coast College, and Long Beach City College. He holds a
lifetime California Communiy College Instructor's Credential in Language Arts
and Literature. Mr. Brown teaches transfer level courses relating to communication
in theory and practice. He has been an active faculty member at Santa Ana College
representing the Fine and Performing Arts Division in the Academic Senate. He
enjoys his work as a member of the Scholarship Committee and can be seen at numerous
student activities each year. Mr. Brown obtained his B.A. and Master's
Degree from CSU Long Beach, in Speech Communication. He has continued to research
and study innovative teaching strategies / methodologies by regular participation
in courses, conventions, forums, and workshops. His instructional areas of expertise
include: Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Small Group Dynamics, Organizational
Communication, Intercultural Communication and Language Performance. "Our

comunity of learners. Motivating and challenging students to achieve personal
