Dons Get Second Win of Season in Host Tournament
SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) wrestling team claimed its second victory in two events as they cruised to a first place finish in the Santa Ana College Wrestling Tournament.
The Dons took first place with an overall team score of 179 points, well ahead of second place Sierra College that had 137.5 points. In third place, with 106 points was Fresno College and Cerritos College took fourth place with 96 points.
The Dons had three wrestlers take first place starting with Jose Navarro at 149 pounds, Ted Bristol at 157 pounds and Luis Onofre at 184 pounds.
Jimmy Martinez (125 pounds), Bobby Scofield (141 pounds) and Daniel Kennedy (174 pounds) each took second place with Jason Arreola (133 pounds) and Jimmy Botheras (197 pounds) each took third place.
