Santa Ana Finishes Second in Mt. SAC Duals
CERRITOS, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) wrestling team lost to Cerritos College in the finals of the Mt. SAC Duals giving the Dons a second place finish.
In their first match, the Dons easily defeated East Los Angeles College 29-6 before defeating host Mt. SAC 37-6. SAC then beat West Hills College 30-13 to set up the finals with conference rival Cerritos.
After the Dons' first three wrestlers lost their matches, Jose Navarro (Santa Ana HS) won 7-3 in the 149-pound weight class to cut the overall score to 10-3.
Sean Barbour (Dana Hills HS) and Daniel Kennedy (Villa Park HS) gave SAC two more victories in the match but it wasn't enough as the Dons lost 26-10. |
