Serrato Named Jr. College Wrestler of the Year
ANAHEIM, CA – Santa Ana College sophomore wrestler Jose Serrato Jr. (Santa Ana HS) received the Orange County Junior College Wrestler of the Year award on Monday evening at the 18 th Annual Orange County Wrestling Coaches Association (OCWCA) Awards Banquet.
Serrato's highlights this season included a first place finish in the 149 pound weight class at the 2007 California Community College Wrestling State Championships. He also finished as the runner-up at the 2006 state championships in the 141 pound division. Serrato has signed a national letter of intent to continue his academic and wrestling career at Dickinson State University.
Each year the OCWCA recognizes the top wrestlers and coaches from Orange County along with those who contribute greatly to the sport of wrestling. |
