Dons Wrap Up Regular Season With 56-0 Win

SANTA ANA, CA - Second-ranked Santa Ana College received five forfeits and won the final five remaining matches to shutout visiting Golden West College , 56-0, in South Coast Conference (SCC) wrestling, Wednesday. The Dons improved to10-3 overall and 3-2 in the conference.

Santa Ana was led by Steve Schantin, ranked second in the state at 141, who won by fall over Dylan Jensen in 4:25 while Brian Judd, ranked second at 184, needed just 1:22 to pin Navarre Perry.

The Dons also received major decision wins from Sabas Cruz at 157 and Tom Eaton at 174. Cruz beat Chad Anderson, 16-5, while Eaton shutout Matt Lightner, 10-0.

In the meet's final match, Kyle McGraw was given the win when Gerald Carollo was whistled for a flagrant misconduct violation.
