Jim
McCarron begins his second season as the head coach
of the Santa Ana College (SAC) women’s track
and field and cross country programs.
Prior to taking over the head coaching duties of the SAC women's cross country team, McCarron served as an assistant
coach with the men’s and women’s track
and field and cross country programs at Fullerton
College from 1999 through 2002.
McCarron is a 1995 graduate of UCLA with a bachelor’s
degree in history. He earned a master’s degree
in education with an emphasis in physical education
from Azusa Pacific University in 1997.
Assisting McCarron during the 2004 SAC cross country
season is former SAC harrier (1996 through 1998)
Miriam Garcia who is a 2002 graduate of California
State University, Dominguez Hills. She earned a bachelor’s
degree in Spanish literature.
