Dons Turn in 10th Place Finish at UC Irvine Invite
IRVINE, CA - For the second week in a row, the Santa Ana College (SAC) women's cross country team competed against a field of mostly four-year universities. The Dons competed at the UC Irvine Invitational where they finished 10th.
Zobeida Lopez was the top finisher for the Dons with a 37th place finish in a time of 21:18. Karla Perez followed in 45th place with a time of 22:23 and Saira Perez came in 52nd place with a time of 23:05.
Brenda Moron came in right behind Saira in 54th place (23:19) and Araceli Valerio was the final score for the Dons in 64th place (24:28). The rest of the Dons field was Yadira Damacio (67th, 25:50), Lucia Ordaz (68th, 25:51) and Yoselin Torres (70th, 26:14).
Cal Coast was the overall team winner with 49 points and Shleby Buckley won the event with a time of 17:52.
