Santa Ana Opens Season at Fullerton Invitational
FULLERTON, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's cross country team finished in 26th place at the Fullerton Invitational held at the Cal State Fullerton Golf Course.
The top finisher for the Dons was Zobeida Lopez who finished in 121st place with an overall time of 26:57. Karla Perez followed with a 154th place finish (29:10). Rounding out the Dons times were Araceli Valerio (163rd, 30:44), Yadira Damacio (171st, 33:09), Yocelin Torres (172nd, 33:37) and Lucia Ordaz (170th, 32:28).
Four-year universities dominated the field with only six community colleges competing. Azusa Pacific University took first place as a team with a total of 53 points. Jacky Kipwambok of Azusa Pacific was the overall winner with a time of 21:24.2.
