Santa Ana Opens Season At SoCal Preview Meet
SANTA ANA, CA -The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's cross country team recently competed in the 2007 Orange Empire Conference Cross Country Preview held at Craig Park in Fullerton.
Freshman Maria Ramirez (Santiago H.S.) finished in 29th place with a time of 21:51.20 to lead the Dons. Other finishers for SAC included freshman Brittany Buenrostro in 32nd place with a time of 22:04.30, followed by freshman Carmen Navarro-Truong in 44th place (24:48.80) and freshman Eliana Chavez (Magnolia H.S.) in 47th place (25:22.90).
Orange Coast College finished with 19 points to take home first place honors with an overall team time of 1:32:27.90. Crystal Reed placed first overall in time of 16:51.10 to lead the Pirates.
Fullerton College finished in second place with 55 points, followed by Saddleback (92), Riverside (95), Santiago Canyon (109) and Golden West (166). SAC did not qualify for a team score due to a lack of competitors. |
