Sasaki and Taylor Lead the Dons to 20-4 Victory

SANTA ANA, CA
- The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's water polo team defeated Cypress College 20-4 in an Orange Empire Conference match Wednesday afternoon at the SAC Pool.

With a 10-3 advantage at halftime, the Dons stretched their lead to 15-3 at the end of three quarters to put the game out of reach. Freshman goalkeeper Alice Cardenas (Marina HS) allowed only one goal in the second half and finished with 10 saves as SAC cruised to an easy victory.

Sophomore Stephanie Sasaki (Valencia HS) and freshman Shelby Taylor (Northwood HS) each finished with six goals to lead the Dons offensively. Sophomores Chelsea Hybskmann (Irvine HS) and Karli Nihei (Fountain Valley HS) each added three goals for SAC, while freshman Sarah Oropeza (Los Amigos HS) chipped in with two goals.
