SANTA ANA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's water polo team continues its winning ways with an impressive victory over visiting Cypress College. The victory comes in the final game of the season which has been nothing short of amazing.
The Dons came into today's game off of a fifth place finish at the Battle at the Beach tournament over the weekend where they went 3-1. Also, SAC recently moved up to eighth place in the state polls.
Sara Van Horne (Katella HS) led the way today with eight goals for the Dons with Jessica Sanchez (Saddleback HS) scoring another four goals against the Chargers.
The Dons allowed only one goal in the entire first half as they went into half time with an 11-1 lead. The Chargers were able to double their goal output in the second half with one goal coming in each the third and fourth quarter. |
