Dons Lose to Saddleback College in Three Games

SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's volleyball team lost to visiting Saddleback College in three games in an Orange Empire conference volleyball match.

The two teams traded the lead early in the first game up to a 10-10 tie before Saddleback went on a 15-5 run to win the game by a final score of 25-15.

The second game started identical to the first with the teams playing to a 10-10 tie. The Gauchos broke the tie with four straight points before going on to win the game 25-17.

In the third and final game, Saddleback took an early lead and didn't relinquish it. The Gauchos won the game, and the match by a final score of 25-12.

Melina Barrera (Saddleback HS) led the Dons with 10 kills in the game with Andrea Gallardo (Centennial HS) and Melissa Jordan (Santa Ana HS) each getting eight digs apiece.
