SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's volleyball team won its second straight match following its victory over Rio Hondo College in three straight games. The Dons improve to 2-1 heading into Orange Empire Conference play.
The Dons came out strong winning the first game by a score of 24-9. In the second game the Dons found themselves trailing late 20-17 before rallying to tie the game at 24-24. The Dons then scored back-to-back points to win the game 26-24.
Leading 2-0 in the match, the Dons jumped out to an early lead and continued to pull away to win the game, and the match by a score of 25-15. Andrea Gallardo led the Dons with seven service aces and 24 digs and Venny Van added 15 digs and nine kills. Teuila Palm followed with eight kills in the win.
NEXT: Santa Ana opens Orange Empire Conference play when they host Golden West College Friday at 6:00 p.m. in Cook Gym. |
