Santa Ana Plays Tough in 3-0 Loss to Golden West

SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's volleyball team lost to visiting Golden West College in three straight games by the scores of 30-12, 30-25 and 30-21.

Golden West scored the first two points of the game and held the lead for the entire game. The Rustlers largest lead came at 18 points at 27-9. Golden West went on to win the game 30-12.

The Dons came out strong in the second game and traded the lead with the Rustlers early. Golden West pulled away to a 16-10 lead but SAC battled back to cut the lead to 17-15. The Rustlers stopped the Dons rally with a 4-0 run and went on to win the second game 30-25.

SAC jumped out to an early 11-5 lead and held the lead until Golden West tied the game at 14-14. The game remained close up to a 20-19 Rustler lead. Golden West outscored the Dons 10-2 to win the game, and the match 30-22.
