Santa Ana Falls in Three Games to Cypress

SANTA ANA, CA - Santa Ana College 's (SAC) women's volleyball team's woes continue as they lost in three straight to visiting Cypress College in an Orange Empire Conference match.

In the first game the score stayed close throughout up to a 20-20 tie. After the teams battled to a Cypress lead of 23-22, the Chargers took control and outscored the Dons seven to one to win the first game 30-23. In the second game Cypress scored eight straight against SAC early for a 13-5 lead and never looked back as they won the second game 30-15.

The Dons controlled most of the third game and had a lead as large as seven at 14-7. After going up 18-14, the Chargers scored fourteen straight points to take a 28-18 lead and won the game three points later at 30-19. Brigina Brock (Katella HS) and Denise Nogal (Katella HS) lead the Dons with eight kills apiece.
