Santa Ana Remains Winless in Conference Play

SANTA ANA, CA - Santa Ana College 's (SAC) volleyball team is still searching for its first conference victory after losing in four games to Irvine Valley College (IVC). The Dons' victory in the third game was the first game won in conference play this season.

After losing the first game 16-30, SAC made a push in the second game after falling behind to IVC. The Lasers proved to be too much in the game despite the charge as they defeated the Dons 19-30.

SAC was able to continue the strong play it displayed in the second game into the third game as they battle IVC to the end, pulling out the victory at 32-30. However, the Lasers buckled down in the fourth and final game, securing the match with a 13-30 win.

The Dons were lead by Mabel Tanielu (Santa Ana Valley HS) who had 16 digs. Brigina Brock (Katella HS) had 17 kills for the Dons and Tiffany Wickens (Katella HS) had another 10 kills. Diana Quezada (Santa Ana HS) finished the game with 22 assists.
