Zoila Garcia Top Finisher for SAC at Cerritos Invite
CERRITOS, CA - Zoila Garcia turned in a time of 20:00 in the 5,000M run at the Cerritos Invitational for an eighth place finish, the highest for the Santa Ana College women's track & field team.
Fellow runner Diana Zapata was the only other top-10 finisher for the Dons as she took 10th place in the 1500M run. Garcia finished 31st in the event and Virginia Urbina turned in a 57th place finish.
Jessica Flores turned in the Dons next top finish in the shot put. Her distance of 36' 4" was good enough for a 13th place finish. She also turned in a 22nd place finish in the discus throw with a throw of 95' 6".
Christina Adams finished 14th in the hammer throw posting a distance of 109' 7" followed by Flores in 19th place with a distance of 102' 9".
The Dons return to action on Friday, February 27 when they host Riverside College and Santiago Canyon College at 2:00 p.m. |
