Cervantes and Gonzalez Lead Dons in Dual Meet
SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's track and field team lost to Golden West College in an Orange Empire Conference meet. The Dons were outscored 70.5-42 but were able to finish ahead of Santiago Canyon College 42-33.5 in the dual meet.
Belen Cervantes (Western HS) took first place in the 800M (2:34.51) and the 1500M (5:17.57). She was followed in the 1500M by teammate Maria Ramirez (Santiago HS) who finished in second place (5:24.92).
Sandy Gonzales won two events while placing second in another two events. She won the high jump with a height of 5'2" and the long jump with a distance of 16'8". She placed second in the triple jump (31'7.5") and the 200M dash (26.87). |
