Taylor Leads Dons To Split With RCC, OCC

SANTA ANA, CA - Allison Taylor won three of the four events that she entered as Santa Ana College earned a split with visiting Riverside College and Orange Coast College in Orange Empire Conference women's track & field action, Friday. The Dons downed Riverside, 51.5-45, but feel to Orange Coast, 78.5-51.5.

Taylor lead Santa Ana with win in the 100 (12.8), long jump (15' 11-1/2"), and the triple jump (29' 6-1/4") and finished second in the 200 (28.5).

Elle Cruikshank was a double-event winner for the Dons capturing the 100 hurdles (16.4) and the 400 hurdles (1:14.0). She also finished third in both the high jump (4' 8") and discus (98' 3").

Andrea Cantrell also had a strong meet finishing second in the long jump (14' 4-3/4"), third in the 100 (13.6) and fourth in the 200 (29.8) and triple jump (28' 5"), respectively.

Cassandra Power gave the Dons points with her second-place finish in the javelin (84' 9") and third-place finish in the shot put (34" 7-1/2").

The Santa Ana 4x100 relay team won the sixth event for the Dons with a time of 53.0.
