Santa Ana Downs Golden West, 79-64

SANTA ANA, CA - On Friday, Santa Ana College swept four events en route to its 79-64 win over visiting Golden West College in Orange Empire Conference women's track & field action.

The Dons finished 1-2-3 in the 100, 200, high jump and shot put to win the meet.

Allison Taylor won the 100 in 13:03 and was followed by Ciesha Primous (13.77) and Regina Perry (14.28). In the 200, Andrea Cantrell (29.36) nipped Primous (29.50) for the event title while Perry (32.28) finished in third.

Elle Cruikshank, who won four events on day, cleared 4' 10" to capture the high jump title. Veronica Gonzalez was second (4' 4") while Cantrell finished third (3' 6"). Cruikshank also added win in the 100 hurdles (15.88), long jump (17' 3/4") and discus (107' 9").

Cassandra Power, Perry and Jeymie Gonzalez rounded out the series of sweeps with a 1-2-3 finish in the shot put. Power won the event with a toss of 32' 10-1/2" followed closely by Perry (32' 4") and Gonzalez (26' 8").

Those finishing in second place included Cantrell in the 400 (1:08.48) and Veronica Gonzalez in the 100 hurdles (21.54).
