Sasaki Leads Dons at Orange Empire Conference Finals
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA -The Santa Ana College women's swimming team took sixth place overall at the 2009 Orange Empire Conference Finals held at Golden West College.
Stephanie Sasaki turned in the best performance of the day as she took fourth place in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 27.35. The time also qualified her for the state finals in the same event. Sasaki also had a sixth place finish in the 50-yard freestyle.
Chelsea Hybskmann followed with a fifth place finish in the 100-yard freestyle while teammate Karli Nihei took sixth place in the 100-yard breast stroke.
The team of Hybskmann, Sasaki, Sarah Oropeza and Rachel Delatorre turned in a fifth place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay while Oropeza, Nihei, Sasaki and Hybskmann took fifth in the 400 and 200-yard medley relay. Also, the team of Hybskmann, Sasaki, Nihei and Jessica Ocamp finished sixth in the 400-yard freestyle relay. |
