Dons Win Second Straight Conference Meet
CYPRESS, CA – The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's swimming team defeated Cypress College 169-83 in an Orange Empire Conference swim meet at Cypress College. The Dons won 13 of the 15 events in the meet.
SAC was led by Kaylen Hewko (Rosary HS) and Jenna Natalizio (Irvine HS) who won three events each. Hewko was victorious in the 100 freestyle (56.56), the 100 individual medley (1:08.93) and the 500 freestyle (5:21.25).
Natalizio took the top spot in the 200 individual medley (2:23.63), the 100 backstroke (1:03.44) and the 50 backstroke (30.24). Other winners included Bianca Kibby (Valencia HS) in the 50 freestyle (26.85), Karli Nihei (Fountain Valley HS) in the 100 breast stroke (1:14.65) and the 50 breast stroke (35.88), Gina Pence (Esperanza HS) in the 200 freestyle (2:03.76) and Stephanie Sasaki (Valencia HS) in the 100 fly (1:05.37). |
