SANTA ANA, CA – The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's soccer team lost to visiting Fullerton College 4-2 in an Orange Empire Conference match.
The Dons fell behind 3-0 at halftime but made a late charge to close the gap. Yuri Marin (Los Amigos HS) sent a header into the back of the net off a corner kick from Michelle Frain (Garden Grove HS) to cut the Hornets' lead to 3-1.
Lily Lopez (Santa Ana HS) took a pass from Daisy Ramos (Loara HS) and beat the Fullerton goalkeeper to pull the Dons within 3-2 in the 63rd minute. SAC had several chances late in the game but were unable to find the back of the net. Fullerton added a fourth goal in stoppage time to seal the game at 4-2.
