The Dons Lose a Close Game to Santiago Canyon 2-0

SANTA ANA, CA – The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's soccer team lost a close game to visiting Santiago Canyon College (SCC) on two late goals scored by the Hawks. The Dons fall to 1-5 on the season while SCC remains undefeated at 7-0.

The Dons managed only shot in the entire game but Alexiz Villanueva (Katella HS) made nine saves on 20 shots to keep SAC in the game. SCC scored both its goals three minutes apart, the first in the 70 th minute.

This was the Orange Empire Conference opener for the Dons and the second conference game for SCC. SAC now has a 0-1 record in conference while SCC is 2-0.
