SANTA ANA , CA – Santa Ana College's (SAC) women's soccer team came up short at its comeback attempt, losing 2-1 to visiting Moorpark College. The loss drops the Dons to 1-3 on the season while Moorpark improves to 5-0.
After falling behind 2-0 in the second half, SAC scored in the 57th minute when Esveide Soriano (Century HS) sent a long pass to Yuri Marin (Los Amigos HS) who was able to chip the ball over the goalkeeper who was charging out in an attempt to make the save.
SAC made several more pushes late in the game but was unable to find the back of the net. Ely Ureno (Chaparral HS) played the entire game for the Dons making four saves and allowing the two goals.
