Santa Ana Finishes Season with Victory over Fullerton

SANTA ANA , CA – In the final game of the season the Santa Ana College (SAC) women's soccer team found themselves in a must-win situation to keep their playoff hopes alive and the team answered the challenge with a 4-1 victory over visiting Fullerton College.

Grace Cardona (Katella HS) opened the scoring for the Dons in the 19 th minute when she scored off an assist from Esther Aceves (Century HS). Nadine Allouche (Laguna Hills HS) extended the lead to 2-0 five minutes into the second half when she took a pass from Nancy Garcia (Foothill HS) and waited for the goalkeeper to come to her before slipping the ball past her to score the goal.

After Fullerton cut the lead to 2-1 in the 71 st minute Aceves broke away from the defense off a long pass from Trishia Keenan (Villa Park HS) and scored to give the Dons a two-point lead once again. Garcia scored the last goal when she stole the ball from the goalkeeper who has playing a long shot from Tara McHale (Tustin HS). After the keeper dropped the ball, Garcia slammed it into the back of the net.
