Santa Ana Rolls as they Defeat Irvine Valley 5-0

SANTA ANA , CA – Esther Aceves (Century HS) scored two more goals and assisted another as the Santa Ana College (SAC) women's soccer team defeated Irvine Valley College 5-0 on Tuesday in Orange Empire Conference play. The Dons have now won two straight coming off of their upset over Cypress College on Friday and four of their last five games to improve their record to 8-7-3 and 6-5 in the conference.

SAC opened the scoring in the 20 th minute when Aceves sent a quick pass across the box to Nadine Allouche (Laguna Hills HS) who buried the ball into the back of the net. Aceves picked up the next two goals for the Dons less than eight minutes apart from each other. The first came off of a pass from Yuri Marin (Los Amigos HS) and the second goal was assisted by Maribel Munoz Blanco (El Modena HS).

SAC added its fourth goal just over a minute into the second half on a goal by Lucero Galaviz (Foothill HS). The final goal came on a free kick by Marin in the 67 th minute.

Elyzza Ureno (Chaparral HS) and Alice Reyes (Orange HS) combined for the shut out. Ureno played the first half making one save and Reyes came in during the second half and did not have to make a save.
