Santa Ana Drops Another Conference Game


SANTA ANA , CA – Santa Ana College (SAC) lost today's game to Cypress College 4-0 but was able to improve on their overall record of the season. During half time, it was announced that San Diego Mesa College was forced to forfeit their 5-0 win over SAC due to an ineligible player, giving the Dons a 1-0 victory in that game. Despite losing today's game, the Dons' record improved to 2-4-3.

Cypress preserved its perfect record with the victory, improving to 9-0-0 on the season and 3-0 in the Orange Empire Conference. Yvonne Vasquez had two goals and an assist in the game for Cypress while Kelsey Chavarria and Brittney Elder added the other two goals for the Chargers.

SAC was unable to produce a single shot while Cypress had 15, 12 on goal. Elyzza Ureno (Chaparral HS) made seven saves in 81 minutes of action and gave up three goals. Alice Reyes (Orange HS) made one save and gave up a goal in 9 minutes.
