Kris Olsen

Kris Olsen is going into her fourth season as head coach of the Santa Ana College women's golf team. Olsen, who is a LPGA golf instructor at Riverview Golf Course in Santa Ana, has 18 years of teaching and coaching experience. Prior to joining Riverview she spent six years at Northwood Golf Center in Irvine.

Olsen played at the collegiate level at California State University, Fullerton before competing professionally on the Futures Tour. Following her stint on the Futures Tour the Dons' head coach began teaching golf full-time at Rancho San Joaquin Golf Course in Irvine before spending 10 years as a golf instructor at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach.

Olsen served as the team advancement coach at Century High School (2002-2003) and Laguna Beach High School (2002). She was also the girl's golf coach at Connelly High School in Anaheim from 2004-2006.

Olsen worked professionally with Hank Haney, recognized as one of Golf Digest's Top 5 golf instructors, to develop her own game and has been influenced by John Jacobs, Jim Hardy, Ben Hogan, Jimmy Ballard, David Leadbetter, Harvey Penick and Rick Smith.

Olsen has also been the personal instructor for several top junior golfers in Southern California including Kayln Dodge, Kristin Medlin and Kristine Lee.
