Shade Shoots 82 for SAC in Conference Match

Chino Hills, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) women’s golf team finished third in an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) match Wednesday afternoon at the par-74 Los Serranos Golf Course (South Course) led by sophomore Sam Shade (Canyon HS) who finished tied for second individually with an 82. The Dons shot 361 as a team as they moved to 10-10 in conference play.

Other scores for SAC included freshman Victoria Vallejos (Edupro) with a 91, sophomores Christi Whittemore (Lakewood HS) and Adriana Murillo (Western HS) each with a 94, freshman Evelyn Kielich (Orange Lutheran HS) with a 95 and sophomore Linda Shade (Swartz Creek HS) at 104. In OEC competition, the top-four individual scores per team are used to determine the final team score.

Irvine Valley College won the event with a team score 332, followed by Santiago Canyon College in second place at 345. Saddleback College took the fourth spot at 394 and Fullerton College finished at 517.
