CHINO, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) women’s golf team finished in third place with a team score of 342 in an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) match Monday at the par-72 El Prado Golf. Freshman Victoria Vallejos (Edupro) finished with an 8-over-par round of 80 to lead the Dons.
Other scores for SAC included sophomore Sam Shade (Canyon HS) with an 83, sophomore Christi Whittemore (Lakewood HS) with an 87 and sophomore Adriana Murillo (Western HS) with a 92. Freshman Evelyn Kielich (Orange Lutheran HS) shot an 83 for the Dons, while sophomore Linda Shade (Swartz Creek HS) finished with a 97. In OEC competition, the top-four individual scores per team are used to determine the final team score.
Santiago Canyon College and Irvine Valley College finished with a team score of 319, followed by Saddleback College at 348 and Fullerton College (no score).
