Kris Olsen

In Fall 2005, Kris Olsen begins her first season as head coach of the Santa Ana College women's golf team. Olsen, who is a LPGA golf instructor at Riverview Golf Course in Santa Ana, has 18 years of teaching and coaching experience. Prior to joining Riverview she spent six years at Northwood Golf Center in Irvine.

Olsen played collegiately at California State University, Fullerton before competing professionally on the Futures Tour. Following her stint on the Futures Tour the first-year Dons' head coach began teaching golf full-time at Rancho San Juaquin Golf Course in Irvine before spending 10 years as a golf instructor at Ol Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach.

For three years (2001-2003), Olsen served as the Century High School Team Advancement Coach as well as Laguna Beach High School in 2002. Currently, she is in her second year as the girl's golf coach at Connelly High School in Anaheim.

Olsen worked professionally with Hank Haney, recognized as one of Golf Digest's Top 20 golf instructors, to develop her own and has been influence by John Jacobs, Jim Hardy, Ben Hogan, Jimmy Ballard, David Leadbetter, Harvey Penick and Rick Smith.

Olsen has also been the personal instructor for several top junior golfers in Southern California including Kayln Dodge, Kristin Medlin and Kristine Lee.
