SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's golf team turned in two victories to kick off the 2009 season. The Dons opened the season with a win by default over Irvine Valley College before defeating Fullerton College 379-394.
Peggy Lyon led the way for SAC in the season opener at Irvine Valley with a low round of 91 followed by Connie Cary who shot a 92. Evelyn Kielich posted a round of 102 with Arlyn Rambayon shooting a 106 and Denise Do shooting a 120.
In the Dons second match, Carey turned in the low score with an 89, one stroke ahead of Lyon who shot a 90. Rambayon lowered her score to a 99 followed by Kielich with a 101 and Do with a 107.
The Dons play their first home match next Wednesday when they host Saddleback College and Santiago Canyon College at 10:00 a.m. at Riverview. |
