SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's basketball team honored its four sophomores who were playing their final home game and sent them off with a 74-51 victory over visiting Riverside College. The win improves the Dons to 17-12 overall and 6-7 in the Orange Empire Conference while Riverside drops to 11-18 and 5-8.
SAC held an eight point lead at half time at 34-26 but Riverside battled back to tie the game at 46-46 with 12 minutes remaining. SAC answered with a 16-0 run to establish a 62-46 lead and didn't look back. The Dons went on to the 74-51 victory to snap a three-game losing streak.
Heather Couzens (Pacifica HS) ended her final home game with 26 points and five rebounds followed by fellow sophomore Caitly Holley (Aliso Niguel HS) who scored 13 points. Jamie Glover (Villa Park HS) also had a strong performance in her final home game with 11 points and three assists.
