Dons Lose Final Home Game of Season to LA Mission
SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) softball team lost to visiting Los Angeles Mission College 5-3 in the Dons final home game of the season. The loss drops the Dons to 12-23-1 on the season while LA Mission improves to 28-8.
The Dons scored first in the bottom of the first inning when Nicole Mendoza reached on an error with one out and scored from first base on a RBI-double by pitcher Alicia Remigio.
LA Mission came back to tie the game in the top of the second inning when Diane Ravago led the inning off with a single and scored on Samantha Durazo's double.
Remigio didn't allow another hit for the four innings until Adriana Tadeo led the seventh inning off with a single. After advancing to second on a sacrifice bunt Tadeo scored on a two-out double. LA Mission added one more run in the seventh to hold on to the 3-1 victory.
