Kulp and Halverson to Transfer to Four-Year Schools
SANTA ANA, CA - Jenny Kulp (El Modena HS) and Stacin Halverson (Western HS) will continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year universities. Kulp is transferring to Abilene Christian University while Halverson is transferring to Auburn University, Montgomery.
In two seasons at Santa Ana College (SAC), Kulp racked up a .370 career batting average and lead the Dons in that category both seasons. As a sophomore, her batting average jumped to .425 with 29 RBI as she hit 18 doubles. In her freshman year, she batted .308 with nine doubles and three home runs, two coming in one inning, a Santa Ana College record. Kulp was selected Second-Team All-Orange Empire Conference her sophomore year.
Halverson only spent one season at SAC and lost several games due to injury. In her limited time she batted .286 with three doubles and five RBI. In her 27 games she had four assists from center field and was a perfect 7-for-7 in stolen bases. |
