Santa Ana Returns Home With 17-1 Win Over OCC
SANTA ANA , CA – Santa Ana College (SAC) returned home after a month-long road trip and defeated visiting Orange Coast College (OCC) 17-1 in five innings in an Orange Empire Conference game.
The Dons (17-15, 5-8) opened the game with six runs in the bottom of the first inning. The highlight of the inning came when Vivian Torres (Perris HS) hit a single to centerfield with the bases loaded, the centerfielder for the Pirates missed the ball allowing all the runners to score including Torres.
SAC added 10 more runs in the second inning to go ahead 16-0. Jenny Kulp (El Modena HS) went 2-for-2 in the inning with a single and a RBI-double. Rachale Gamson (Kaiser HS) added a two-run single and Torres also had two RBIs in the inning.
The final run of the game came in the fourth inning when Torres hit a single through the middle of the infield that scored Breanna Dravis (Villa Park HS). Torres finished the game 4-for-4 with five RBIs and two runs scored.
