Santa Ana Loses Second Game in a Row at Home
SANTA ANA, CA – Santa Ana College (SAC) lost to visiting Golden West College 5-2 in an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) game Friday afternoon at the SAC Softball Field.
The Dons fell behind 2-0 after allowing one run in the second and third inning but were able to rally back to tie the game in the fifth. Alicia Remigio (Valencia HS) reached first after getting hit by a pitch. Natalie DeLeese (El Toro HS) came in to pinch run and advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Vivian Torres (Perris HS).
Stacin Halverson (Western HS) followed with a single to center field. After a pop-out, Jenny Kulp (El Modena HS) doubled to left field scoring Halverson and DeLeese to tie the game at 2-2.
Golden West broke the tie in the sixth inning with a triple to right field, scoring the runner from second. The Rustlers added two more in the seventh to secure the 5-2 victory.
