Heather Hamilton, Ashly Perdue and Diana Quezada each Receive Second-Team All-Conference Honors
SANTA ANA, CA – As three of the five returning sophomores on this year's softball team, catcher Heather Hamilton, pitcher Ashly Perdue and second base Diana Quezada each received Second-Team All-Orange Empire Conference honors.
Hamilton started all 43 games for the Dons this season, finishing third on the team with a .273 batting average. Hamilton led the team with a .254 batting average during the 21 conference games this season. Last season as a freshman, Hamilton received First-Team All-Orange Empire Conference and All-Southern California honors.
Perdue made 27 starts this season with a 2.33 ERA and an overall record of 15-12. In 16 conference starts Perdue had a 9-8 record but boasted a 1.95 ERA. She was also tied for second on the team in batting average during conference play with a .250 batting average and five RBIs.
Quezada also started all 43 games for the Dons this season. She was second on the team with a .275 batting average with 20 RBIs and 24 stolen bases. During conference play Quezada hit .224 with seven stolen bases. She had a .969 fielding percentage in conference and .965 for the season. Last season, Quezada received First-Team All-Orange Empire Conference honors.
The three helped the Dons to an overall record of 25-19 and 11-10 in the OEC, good for a fourth place finish. |
