SAC Falls Victim to a No-Hitter in 3-0 Loss to Palomar
SANTA ANA, CA – Santa Ana College (SAC) was unable to get a hit off of Palomar College in a 3-0 loss that was dominated by both team's pitchers in a non-conference softball game.
The only offense in the game came early when Palomar managed four hits in the top of the first inning; two were for home runs including a two-run shot by Ginalee Davis.
After that the Dons allowed only one more hit in the game and one walk while Palomar did not allow a single hit. The Dons had four base runners the entire game.
Mallory Marquez (Santa Ana HS) suffered the loss as she pitched two innings allowing four hits and all three runs. Ashly Perdue (La Mirada HS) pitched the final five innings allowing one hit with three strikeouts. She also pitched four straight perfect innings to end the game.
