Softball Shuts Out the Warriors
SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College softball team defeated El Camino College at home Monday afternoon, 7-0 in six innings. The Dons' (12-9) scored early and never looked back as they allowed El Camino (2-15) only one hit in the game.
Starting pitcher Kim Moore (3-0) gave up only one infield hit in her four innings of work to earn her third victory of the season. Melissa Wilt cleaned up the final two innings striking out three of six batters faced.
The 3-4-5 hitters for Santa Ana Nina Hernandez, Alissa Zoelle and Courtney Zobac went a combined 8-for-11 scoring four runs and bringing in five RBI. Santa Ana runners allowed the trio to be productive as they were successful on four of five stolen base attempts.
The Dons' next game is at Orange Coast College on Wednesday, March 23rd at 3 p.m.
