The JuCal Transfer Honors Santa Ana Quartet
LAKE FOREST, CA - Post-season honors continue to come in for a quartet of Santa Ana College fastpitch softball players in Alissa Zoelle, Charlene Sanchez, Nina Hernandez and Ramona Garcia. All four players appeared on
The JuCal Transfer all-state fastpitch softball teams that were released on Wednesday.
Zoelle (Corona del Mar HS), was one of two Dons named to the publication's second team after leading the team in batting with a .408 (40 of 98). She finished the season with 17 RBI, 16 runs scored, 9 doubles and 2 triples. Last week, the former Corona del Mar High School-product was named to the Orange Empire Conference's first team.

Joining Zoelle on the second team was sophomore Ramona Garcia (Marina HS) who was recognized among the pitchers. Garcia, is a two-time member of The JuCal Transfer teams having been a member of the first team as a freshman. She finished the season with a 9-13 overall record and a 1.75 ERA. She struck out 57 and walked 29. Offensively, she batted .306 (11 of 36) with two RBI and six runs scored.
Hernandez and Sanchez were both third team honors after batting .395 and .313, respectively. Hernandez led the Dons in three offensive categories including at bats (114), hits (45) and RBI (29) and was third with 23 runs scored. Sanchez, meanwhile, finished sixth on the team with her .313 batting average and was fourth with 19 runs scored and 16 RBI and second with a fielding percentage of .982
