Garcia, Moore No-Hit Golden West
SANTA ANA, CA - Ramona Garcia and Kim Moore combine on a no-hitter as Santa Ana College (4-4, 2-1) knocked off visiting Golden West College
(2-11, 1-2), 8-0, in Orange Empire Conference Fastpitch softball action. Garcia, who improved to 3-2, struck out one and walked none while Moore retired the only three batters she faced.
Jasmine Joyce was 2 for 2 at the plate and scored twice to lead the Dons' offensive attach. Joyce was one of six Santa Ana batters to collect a hit.
Ale Alverado also had a big day as she finished 1 for 1 with four RBI and two runs scored. The sophomore walked in the third and drove in three in the fourth inning with a base-clearing double. She ended the gave when she collected her fourth RBI on a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the fifth inning.
